BRIEF

The Alice Hawthorn, an independent country pub in a small village between York and Harrogate, had been extensively refurbished under new owners. They asked us for help increasing trade with a focus on Friday and Saturday nights, promoting midweek offerings to locals, promoting specific events and connecting with local clubs/societies/groups. This would all help to raise overall awareness of the business on and offline.

PROCESS

We worked with The Alice Hawthorn team to create a plan to develop their presence on and offline in the local area. We included work on the website, social media management and advertising, email marketing, PR, leaflet creation and distribution, and online event listings. The plan allowed the business to raise its awareness and generate a new level of interest which was seen through an increase in online bookings, weekly trade and social media engagement.

THE RESULTS

  • Eight pieces of PR published including, York Press, Yorkshire Living, Harrogate Living, Yorkshire Post, Living North & Yorkshire Life
  • 78% increase in Twitter followers
  • 625% increase in Facebook likes
  • Website – drove on average 1,600 people to the site per month.
