Skosh – “a little” goes a long way for York restaurant, with a little touch of Pick & Mix Marketing help!
A highlight of 2016 for the team at Pick & Mix Marketing was working with the fantastic Neil Bentinck on the launch of his first, brand new restaurant, Skosh.
The name Skosh came from the Japanese word Sukoshi, meaning a small amount or, a little, and it’s fair to say that Skosh, although the location, dishes and team, may be small, this little restaurant has made a BIG impact on the food scene in York throughout 2016 and is continuing to prosper into 2017 with a bright future ahead.
We worked with Neil to help create a launch plan for the restaurant which included work on the website, social media, PR, email campaigns and building general brand awareness, and from strength to strength the team have worked tirelessly to ensure the brand is reflected in all aspects of their marketing and promotion ever since.
Skosh has not only generated a great amount of buzz in the local area, it has even got its name National, arising interest with renowned food critics from across the country. This “little” York restaurant has now had visits from the Michelin Guide, the Guardian and Olive Magazine, to name a few, and is continuing to generate wide-spread interest, with people travelling far and wide to sample the delights on the menu.
With the restaurant fully booked mosts weekend and week days AND a number 1 position on TripAdvisor (which it has held for over 3 months now) it really shows how a clear plan and business idea can come to fruition in a short period of time when you know what you want to achieve.
