Launch brand new Yorkshire event

 

BRIEF

Freebird Events, Yorkshire based events company, approached Pick & Mix Marketing to support with the launch of their brand new event and brand, Dirty Hero. Dirty Hero is an obstacle course race taking part in North Yorkshire, launching in 2017. The event is an opportunity for people to test their strength and stamina by completing a 10 mile (or 5 mile alternative) course, with over 30 obstacles.

Dirty Hero required support with all their marketing requirements to launch the business, gain bookings onto the event – 2,000 in total, and grow the brand into a recognised annual event, both locally and nationally.

PROCESS

We began with a full marketing strategy where we audited key competitors, current situation and market potential. From this we identified the marketing plan which covered, website development, PR across traditional and digital platforms, PPC, social media content and social media advertising and public relations.

We focused on the customer journey to ensure satisfaction rates were high from competitors, volunteers and suppliers alike from the start.  We used Facebook and PPC advertising to target their key customer base and reach a much wider audience to gain awareness for the event and generate online customer conversation, which in turn aided word of mouth referrals and recommendation.
